Seven students in the MA Choreography program at the Interuniversity Center for Dance in Berlin are exploring artistic research as a physical practice in collaboration with the Curatorial Department of TU Dresden: They engage with scientific collection objects through movement, dance, and physical presence as forms of understanding. Among other things, the dye collection and the collection of gear models become sites of unexpected sensory exploration, while historical teaching and research objects serve as opportunities for vibrant encounters. What emerges when hands, weight, and breath take over what writing and images can only inadequately capture? An invitation to experience knowledge differently—in movement, in space, through contact.
