2002 durch die Tänzerinnen und Choreografinnen Nora Schott, Ariane Thalheim und Petra Steinert gemeinsam mit ihrer ständigen Residenz, der TENZA-Schmiede, als Ensemble für Zeitgenössischen Tanz in Dresden gegründet. Seitdem entstanden eine Reihe von abendfüllenden Produktionen und zahlreiche Kurzchoreografien. Kooperationen und Gastspiele führten die »shot AG« an zahlreiche Theater deutschlandweit sowie ins Ausland, u.a. Rotterdam, Ljubljana, Koper, Rom, Bari. 2007 wurde die »shot AG« mit dem Förderpreis der Landeshauptstadt Dresden ausgezeichnet. Begründung der Jury: „Mit der Auszeichnung wird eine Company geehrt, deren vielgestaltiges, progressives Wirken für die zeitgenössische Tanzszene Dresdens von großer Bedeutung ist.“
Mehrere Arbeiten der »shot AG« wurden u.a. im Rahmen des Dresdner Tanzherbst in der damaligen “kleinen szene” (heute: villa\wigman) gezeigt.
Die villa\wigman bietet erneut Einblicke in die Auseinandersetzung und Sichtbarmachung ihrer Historie im Rahmen der Künstlerischen Reihe No. 3. Sie ist die Fortsetzung der Künstlerischen Reihe No. 1 und No. 2, die sich im Jahr 2022 mit der Zeit des Wirkens Mary Wigmans in Dresden von 1920 bis 1942 und im Jahr 2023 mit der Zeit der DDR am Ort Bautzner Straße 107 beschäftigte.
Die Künstlerische Reihe No. 3 wird vom 26. bis 28. April 2024 die Zeit nach der Wende ab 1989 bis heute in den Blick nehmen, in der das Haus an der Bautzner Straße 107 vielfältig genutzt wurde. Der Ort bot der Sächsischen Staatsoper Dresden mit der Kleinen Szene eine Kammerbühne. Weiter war er Plattform für die ersten Produktionen der Freien Darstellenden Künste. Die Festivals TANZherbst und Tanzwoche fanden hier ihre wesentliche Stätte. Studierenden der Dresdner Kunsthochschulen gab der Ort Raum für Unterrichte und Präsentationen, bis er ab 2010 nur noch nichtöffentlich als Probenort der Sächsischen Staatsoper genutzt wurde.

Founded in 2002 by the dancers and choreographers Nora Schott, Ariane Thalheim and Petra Steinert together with their permanent residency, the TENZA-Schmiede, as an ensemble for contemporary dance in Dresden. Since then, they have created a series of full-length productions and numerous short choreographies. Collaborations and guest performances have taken „shot AG“ to numerous theatres throughout Germany and abroad, including Rotterdam, Ljubljana, Koper, Rome and Bari. In 2007, „shot AG“ was honoured with the Dresden State Capital Award. The jury’s reasoning: „The award honours a company whose diverse, progressive work is of great importance to Dresden’s contemporary dance scene.“
Several works by „shot AG“ were shown as part of the Dresdner Tanzherbst in the former „kleine szene“ (now: villa\wigman).
The villa\wigman once again offers insights into the examination and visualization of its history as part of Artistic Series No. 3 . It is the continuation of Artistic Series No. 1 and No. 2, which in 2022 dealt with the time of Mary Wigman’s work in Dresden from 1920 to 1942 and in 2023 with the time of the GDR at Bautzner Straße 107.
From April 26 to 28, 2024, Artistic Series No. 3 will focus on the period after reunification from 1989 to the present day, when the building at Bautzner Straße 107 was used in a variety of ways. The venue offered the Saxon State Opera Dresden a chamber stage with the Kleine Szene. It was also a platform for the first productions of the independent performing arts. The TANZherbst and Tanzwoche festivals found their main venue here. The venue provided students from Dresden’s art academies with space for classes and presentations until it was only used as a non-public rehearsal venue for the Saxon State Opera from 2010. In 2019, the Villa Wigman Association for Dance took over the building on a hereditary building lease with the state capital of Dresden – to preserve the historically valuable dance venue and to operate it as a space for the performing arts and gradually renovate it.
