In ihrer Trilogie über Vergänglichkeit befragt Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft die Gesetzmäßigkeiten von Zeit. Während „ENDE“ – der erste Teil der Trilogie – sich der Melancholie stellte, die ein bevorstehendes Ende schürt, ist „Alles auf Anfang“ den Anfänger*innen gewidmet:
Sie haben nicht vor, neue Berge zu versetzen, sie werden uns auch nichts Verheißungsvolles versprechen – sie beginnen zu handeln und schauen, was ihr Tun hervorbringt.
Sie fangen so an: Eine kleine Gruppe von leuten hat etwas für eine große Gruppe von leuten vorbereitet. Die große Gruppe ist darüber so gerührt, dass sie ganz leise wird und ganz gespannt auf das Ereignis wartet, das nicht eintreten wird. Und dann wagt doch jemand einen ersten Schritt – der Rest bleibt unabsehbar.
Mit „Alles auf Anfang“ macht Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft die Theaterbühne zur page blanche und zelebriert, im Beisein vieler Menschen und Mythen, ihre nicht existierende leere.

In Antje Pfundtner in Gesellschaft’s trilogy about transience, stagnation is a symbol for the suspension of temporal laws. When bodies are still, they create confusion: have they already stopped doing anything? Or maybe they just haven’t started yet? What would be the beginning or end of their action if they weren’t standing still?
While the first piece in the trilogy addressed the expectations that arise when an ending is near, „Alles auf Anfang“ is devoted to the first step. What is the foundation for beginnings that makes us constantly and repeatedly start things anew?
It begins like this: a small group of people has prepared something for a big group of people. The big group is so touched by this that they go silent and anxiously wait for what isn’t going to happen. And then someone dares to take the first step anyway – the rest is unforeseeable.
